• Web Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker regularly have one of these. You usually place a bet (a dollar is the usual amount) to try to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Although huge jackpots like this are very tempting, they are also incredibly hard to win. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and place the side bet every time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the real game wager instead of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds utilizing that $20.
  • Individual number wagers in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the overall house advantage from 2.63% with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5.26percent in American. The individual number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the casino advantage can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that wasn’t a typo. Because of the huge set of numbers you have to choose, it isn’t advisable to bet on Keno to often. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll quickly find yourself beaten.
