• Internet Casino Sucker Wagers — Part II

  • Progressive side bets: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You typically put a wager (a dollar is the normal amount) to try to win a side jackpot that can reach $25,000. Although huge jackpots like these are extremely appealing, they’re also incredibly difficult to win. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and place the side wager every time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker wager. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds using that twenty dollars.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the overall house advantage from 2.63percent with a single zero wheel to a huge 5% in American. The one number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the house advantage can be a huge 25%. No, that isn’t a typo. Because of the huge set of numbers you have to select, it is not advisable to wager on Keno very much. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your cash on it or you will immediately discover yourself bankrupt.
